For those interested in adopting or fostering:
Thank you for your interest in fostering or adopting. We know that you may have a lot of questions about what the process looks like moving forward. Depending on where you are starting off you may be wanting information in general on costs, timelines, and agencies or you may be at place where you have made a more concrete decision to move forward with adopting or fostering and are looking for a mentor partner as you progress through the next steps.
If you would like more information on the specifics related to cost, timeline, and local adoption and foster placement then please e-mail Brad Mauldin to set up a time to meet or talk in depth.
Also, depending on your timeline, we offer two Adoption & Foster Care Info Meetings each year that address in great detail all four routes for adoption and foster care: 1) Domestic Infant Adoption; 2) International Adoption; 3) Fostering; and 4) Fostering to Adopt.
If you are interested in a mentor partnership and would like to connect with an individual or a couple who has experience with adoption or foster care, please email Brad Mauldin. Our hope is that you would have regular contact with someone from setting out on the process towards fostering or adopting on through receiving a child into your home.
For those who want to support families who adopt or foster:
Thank you for your interest in supporting individuals and couples who are fostering or adopting! Our main opportunity for support involves participating in a Care Community, which consists of a team of individuals providing holistic care to a foster or adoptive family.
Each Care Community has opportunities for child mentoring, meal prep and delivery, transportation, clothing provision, and childcare (both during the day and overnight). All new volunteers will be required to go through a brief orientation before starting.
If you are interested in serving on a Care Community in any capacity, please email Brad Mauldin for more information. For other opportunities related to supporting individuals or couples who foster or adopt, please email Brad Mauldin.
