The season of Advent in the church calendar marks the 4 weeks leading up to the birth of Jesus. It's the period of waiting for what we understand as God coming in the flesh or the incarnation. This year for Advent we are going to read a book together titled Honest Advent by Scott Erickson. The book is focused on the question of “is Christ’s incarnation still happening in our midst?" Each chapter holds meditations through words and images. 

Our hope is that we might experience Jesus in our midst now through the vulnerability of incarnation. Part of the experience of the incarnation is uniquely tied to our connection to each other. That's why we'll read this together and meet virtually through Zoom on the first four Tuesdays in December from 7-8:30pm.

We have 40 copies of Honest Advent and the cost is $12.50 which covers the book. If you are unable to pay the full amount, simply pay what you are able.
