Care
We want you to be seen, supported, and equipped to engage fully and honestly in all seasons of your life and the lives of those around you. Our call to care comes from the commandment that Jesus gave us to love others as we love ourselves. Care at Trinity is pastoral, communal, and personal. Below, you’ll find some of the ways our pastors are available to you as well as curated resources to engage care communally and personally.
Crisis Resources
If you or someone you know is in crisis and needs immediate help, we have collected several trusted hotlines and websites to help you get the immediate help you need.
Pastoral
Care
Our pastors are available to pray for you and walk alongside you through the challenges, hardships, and celebrations of life.
We also have trusted relationships with professional counselors and spiritual directors and can help connect you to someone fitted to your needs. And if your needs are more practical in nature, we can help coordinate assistance.
Meet with a Pastor
We are here for you. Our pastoral team is available to meet with individuals and couples to offer prayer, support, counsel, and to discern next best steps if further resourcing/assistance is needed. Additionally, Trinity’s Prayer Team is committed to regularly praying for needs inside and outside the church community. Contact us to meet with a pastor or share your prayer request.
Weddings & Marriage Prep
Trinity enjoys the opportunity to celebrate and take part in the marriage of folks in our community. We offer premarital mentoring with trained couples in our community, premarital pastoral counseling, and our pastors are available to officiate weddings in the Atlanta area.
Bereavement, Funerals & Memorial Services
If you have recently experienced the loss of a loved one, we want to come alongside you in your journey with grief. We can also provide our building facilities, staff support, and pastoral leadership for funerals and memorial services. For more information or to get the process started, please reach out.
Communal
Care
One of the ways in which we are meant to experience the care of Jesus is through his body, the church. Below you will find multiple ways to engage care in the context of community.
Neighborhood Groups
Neighborhood Groups are weekly, geographically-organized gatherings of people who are living as smaller, local expressions of the church, where we cultivate belonging and practice the love of Jesus in community. Groups gather three nights a month to build relationships, encourage, care for, and pray with one another, and to discuss practical applications of Sunday’s sermon and text.
Story Groups
Do you feel stuck or do you find that you’re repeating the same unhelpful patterns in life? Do you feel that you are at war with your body, your emotions, your desires? Do you desire more freedom and deeper connection with yourself, God, and others? Story Groups are a safe, nurturing, and redemptive small group space to explore and begin to find healing in your story as well as be better equipped to engage the stories of others.
Meal Support
Few things say “you’re not alone” quite like a warm meal. The Meal Team offers care and comfort to individuals and families in our church during tender or transitional seasons—like welcoming a new baby, recovering from surgery, or walking through grief. To find out more about receiving meals, please reach out.
Foster & Adoption Support
Caring for vulnerable children is a beautiful reflection of the heart of God—and no family should do it alone. The Foster & Adoption Support Team comes alongside families who are fostering or adopting. Whether it’s preparing meals, running errands, praying regularly, or simply checking in, this team exists to provide tangible support during a unique and often demanding season. To learn more about Foster & Adoption support, please reach out.
Grief Groups
Grief Groups are a safe and confidential space where trained facilitators use a curriculum to support and guide a small group of folks as they walk together on the journey of grief. If you’re interested in learning more about upcoming groups, please email us.
Restoration Support Group
This Christ-centered support group offers a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space for men and women seeking healing and restoration from unwanted or addictive behaviors. Led by trained, story-informed professionals, the group invites participants to explore—at their own pace—the roots of these struggles and the healing available through Christ and community. If you or someone you are connected to struggles with these tendencies, this group is for you.
Personal
Care
As a way of dignifying our human agency, Jesus often invites us to “take up our own mat” in the process of healing. Below you will find ways to personally engage with the Holy Spirit as you move towards more freedom and healing.
Counseling &
Spiritual Direction
Trinity has curated a list of trusted professional counselors, counseling groups, and spiritual directors in the Atlanta area, and our pastors are available to help folks find a counselor or spiritual director that is suited to their needs. Learn more about spiritual direction here.
Care Companions
In seasons of grief and loss, what people often need most is simply someone who will be present—someone who will listen, pray, and gently walk alongside them. Care Companions are trusted, trained laypeople who offer compassionate presence to those navigating sorrow or hardship. These volunteers aren’t professional counselors or therapists, but they are caring, spiritually grounded individuals equipped to come alongside you with humility, empathy, and hope in Christ.
Wellness Workshops
Jesus is always inviting us towards more freedom, wholeness, and integration, so part of what it means to follow Jesus is to take steps toward wellness in all aspects of our lives. We host quarterly Wellness Workshops where we invite a subject matter expert to speak and invite conversation around wellness topics like anxiety & depression, finances, grief, and forgiveness. See our Events page for upcoming Workshops and click below for recordings of past workshops.
Relationship Courses
We are all created in the image of a triune God, whose very nature is life-giving, self-giving relationship. So much of how we receive, give, and learn how to give good care happens in the context of relationships. But we also know that relationships are complex—they are the systems within which we are both harmed and healed. We are committed to helping you build and sustain joyful, robust, and redemptive relationships, both with friends and spouses and with the larger community. See our Events page for upcoming courses.
