Communion Training

  • 2270 Defoor Hills Road Northwest Atlanta, GA, 30318 United States (map)

When God’s people come forward to receive communion—the spiritual food and drink of new and unending life—it is a beautiful picture of our oneness in Christ. We come forward as many, yet as we partake of the one Bread of Life, we become one body: the Body of Christ.

For those who serve communion, placing the bread and wine into the hands of God’s people is a tangible and sacred act of worship that flows directly from the words and work of Jesus. As 1 Corinthians 10:16–17 reminds us, in sharing the one bread and cup, we participate in the body and blood of Christ and proclaim that, though many, we are one.

If you’re a member and are interested in serving communion or simply want to learn more about the spiritual meaning and practical aspects of this holy sacrament, join Pastor Nate Smith in the Blue Room for communion instruction.

Please register as lunch is provided.
