We are excited to offer an opportunity for the Trinity community to engage the people of the Dominican Republic.

For the past six years, Trinity has hosted a Staff Retreat in the Dominican Republic for our friends who teach at Makarios, a school in northern DR that we love and support. Makarios is primarily a school for under-resourced children in surrounding neighborhoods, while also serving as a resource aiming to strengthen families and build up leaders in the neighborhoods where the kids attending the school live. The retreat (three nights/four days) involves time for the Makarios team to be poured into spiritually, time to find rest and retreat, and time for them to be together in community.

There are two ways you can support this retreat:

1) Be a trip participant: We send a team from Trinity every year that gets to visit Makarios and the neighboring villages, then help execute the Makarios Staff Retreat. Join us from March 3-10, 2023 by applying here! Applications are due Sunday, November 20.

2) Financially Support the Makarios Staff: One especially wonderful gift for the Makarios team is that cost of the retreat for their 77 teachers is completely free! If you would like to help us make this possible, you can sponsor a Makarios staff member to go on the retreat for $150. We will then let you know the name of that staff member who you can be praying for during our week away.
