Lazarus Health Day

Lazarus Health Day is an annual event where the community comes together to provide free medical resources for our friends experiencing homelessness. There are many ways you can participate! Doctors and nurses are certainly needed, but you don't have to be a medical professional to participate. All you need is a willingness to come and be a part of something meaningful and fun. Volunteer sections range from Art and Clothing to Food and Hospitality to Kids and Job Prep... extra hands helping Setup, Cleanup, and Teardown are always welcome too! Learn more and signup to volunteer here!

Engaging Homelessness Class

Attending the upcoming Engaging Homelessness Class on Tuesday, September 10 at Trinity is a great way to prepare for Health Day. Lazarus founder Allison McGill will share personal stories and practical tips from her over two decades of engaging with people experiencing homelessness, focusing on lessons learned and a helpful approach. The goal is to help equip the church to come alongside these neighbors living on the margins with dignity and kinship. The night will end with time for Q&A for any specific questions. Register here.

Hygiene Kit Drive

Leading up to Health Day, we are challenging our community to make 600 hygiene kits!

Simply place the items below in a ziplock bag, and drop them off at Trinity on Sundays between August 18 and September 8. At our Neighborhood Groups Kickoff in September, we’ll be adding notes of encouragement to each of the kits!

Hygiene Kit Checklist:
• Bottled water
• Granola/chewy bars (1 or 2)
• New pair of socks
• Hand wipes or small sanitizer bottle
• Hand lotion
• Toothbrush/toothpaste
• Deodorant
