Hebrew 101 is an independently organized course hosted at Trinity, taught by Anna Beth Havenar of Hebrew Haven. The registration linked below is managed separately by the course organizer and is required to participate.

This live, interactive, seven-week beginner course meets Monday evenings, August 17–September 29, and invites you into the language of the Old Testament. No language background necessary. In a clear, fun, step-by-step format, you'll learn the alphabet, vowel system, and foundational vocabulary so you can begin reading real Hebrew words from Scripture. Expect biblical and cultural insights from Israel woven throughout, taught by Anna Beth Havenar, who holds an M.A. in Jewish Studies and has spent nearly a decade leading educational experiences in the region.

By the end of the course, you’ll recognize all 22 Hebrew letters, learn 100+ words, practice reading short Scripture verses, and learn traditional blessings that Jesus himself knew. In other words: if you put in a little time, you’ll be reading Hebrew!
