Health Day
On Sunday, Sept. 19 from 2-5pm in downtown ATL, our friends at Lazarus will once again be hosting Health Day to celebrate good health and kinship with our brothers & sisters in the homeless community. We need your help to make this happen! Including a Hygiene Kit Drive, there are many ways to get involved, even if you aren’t a medical professional. Learn more through the button below.
Also, leading up to Health Day, we will be hosting an Engaging Homelessness Class on Tuesday, September 14 at 7pm. Allison McGill, founder of Lazarus, will teach on how to engage with people experiencing homelessness, and how we can love our neighbors well. You can register to attend the class here.
Hygiene Kit Drive
We want to challenge our community to make 600 hygiene kits to be given out at Health Day. But this year we encourage you to hold onto some of the kits you make and keep them in your car, so you can be equipped for meaningful interactions. Simply place the items below in ziplock bag, and drop them off at Trinity on Sundays in September.
Gallon Ziploc Bag (to put everything in)
• Bottled water
• Granola/chewy bars (1 or 2)
• New pair of socks
• Mask (if possible)
• Hand wipes or small sanitizer bottle
• Hand lotion
• Toothbrush/toothpaste
• Deodorant
• Chapstick or lip balm
• Note of encouragement (e.g. You are loved, God loves you, etc.)
