For the second year, Trinity is partnering with Lighthouse Family Retreat, a faith-based nonprofit supporting families impacted by childhood cancer.
Join the Trinity team for Lighthouse’s Sunrise Weekend Retreat, February 13–16, 2027, at Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, GA. Sunrise Retreats are specifically designed for families grieving the loss of a child to cancer, creating space for rest, connection, joy, and hope alongside others who understand their loss.
Individuals and families with children ages 4+ can serve, leading activities and being paired with a retreat family to help them feel cared for throughout the weekend. This year, Kids & Youth Discipleship Pastor Dave McCune will also serve as a pastoral lead for Lighthouse.
If applying as a family, each adult must complete an application, though children only need to be listed on one application.
Important Dates & Information
Virtual Info Session: Tentatively Tuesday, November 10, 7:30–8:30pm
Application Deadline: Sunday, November 22, 2026
Team Selection Notification: Sunday, December 6
Cost: $825 per adult; $400 per child ages 4–17. Fundraising is also strongly encouraged, and Lighthouse will provide ideas and resources.
