Saint Magdalene’s Silent Retreat

  • Westside Reservoir Park 1660 Johnson Road Northwest Atlanta, Georgia, 30318 United States (map)

Practicing silence is an act of faith, trusting that time spent waiting on and listening to God is never wasted. Join Pastoral Residents Chris and Caroline Hiler Albert on Saturday morning for a guided silent retreat at Westside Reservoir Park from 9am–12pm.

We’ll begin with a time of group direction, followed by space for silence, prayer, and reflection. We’ll then gather together at the end for those who would like to share about their experience. Whether silence is a new or familiar practice for you, we invite you to slow down, spend time with God in creation, and make room to listen for his voice.

You may want to bring a towel or chair to sit on, as well as a water bottle. We will gather at one of the park pavilions, and public restrooms will be available. Register to receive email updates and additional details closer to the event.

This retreat is especially for those discerning involvement with St. Magdalene’s, Trinity’s future church plant in Smyrna, though others are welcome to attend as space allows. To learn more about St. Magdalene’s and the church planting effort, visit atltrinity.org/churchplant.
