We have an update for you regarding our monthly Worship & Prayer Services. First, we want to share the tremendous blessing and honor that holding Worship & Prayer every month for the past 14 years has been! These services have increasingly provided a unique opportunity to intentionally slow down and create space for unhurried worship. While we have loved these services and what they have provided for our community, we have sensed that the current iteration might need to change.
Over time, Worship & Prayer has become mostly a contemplative space. It has been a beautiful and holy space. And yet, we have been discerning a call from the Lord over the last year to return to our roots. When Worship & Prayer began, it was a more expressive space that aligned closely with our recently defined first Core Commitment of experiencing the love of God and life in the Holy Spirit. We hope to help our church increase our expectation that God will move in our midst and pour out His Spirit in order that the body of Christ would be edified.
So, what does this mean? Logistically, this change will not only be a shift in focus but also a shift in rhythm. Our final Worship & Prayer in this iteration will be on April 3rd. After April, we will pause until the fall. We are taking the summer off to provide us with adequate space to plan what the new rhythms will look like. We appreciate your prayers as we spend the summer praying over what this space will become. We are excited and hopeful for what is to come. Stay tuned!
