Trinity Kids Assistant

Trinity Kids Assistant is a part-time hourly position that helps create a welcoming, organized experience for kids, families, and volunteers. Responsibilities include overseeing Sunday morning check-in desk operations, supporting volunteers, managing classroom capacities, and providing hospitality during check-in and dismissal. Throughout the week, the role includes scheduling and leading the Sunday Admin team, resetting classrooms, maintaining attendance rosters, coordinating the Baptism process, and assisting with a variety of administrative projects. The position includes 5 hours on Sunday mornings, plus a flexible mix of in-person and remote hours during the week.

Location: Atlanta, GA / Trinity Anglican
Payroll Status: Part-time (15 hrs/week), 5 hours in person on Sundays, with a mix of in-person and remote opportunities throughout the week

Duties & Responsibilities

Sundays:

  • Provide hospitality and assistance to families and volunteers throughout the check-in and check-out process

  • Monitor classroom capacities and discern when to open overflow rooms

  • Help ensure all safety and security protocols are followed

Weekly:

  • Train and schedule Sunday Kids Admin contractors & volunteers

  • Schedule hired childcare workers and submit receipts

  • Update Sunday attendance spreadsheet

  • Reset Kids areas for each Sunday

    • Print and distribute curriculum materials: lesson plans, rosters, craft supplies, and other items related to the Bible lesson. 

    • Order and restock diapers, wipes, cleaning products, snacks, etc. 

    • As needed, tidy and organize classrooms

Monthly:

  • Be “on call” 1-2 Saturdays per month for volunteers with last-minute cancellations

  • Update classroom rosters and Baptism spreadsheets

  • Submit Event Request Forms for Kids events

  • Help coordinate volunteers for special events. Ex: Spring Retreat, Christmas Pageant, summer Kids Camp, etc

Qualifications

  • Alignment with Trinity Core Commitments, values, and vision

  • A heart for children and a desire to help in their discipleship

  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable navigating Google Suite and learning new software

  • Comfortable with managing multiple tasks and navigating sudden changes

  • Ability to work well on a team and independently
