Temp Events Manager

Trinity is seeking a highly organized, relational, and service-minded Temporary Events Manager to oversee the planning and execution of events across the life of the church from mid-August through December 31, 2026. This role coordinates the logistics that help ministries, members, and guests experience well-planned, welcoming events—from Sunday gatherings and ministry events to weddings, funerals, retreats, and third-party events. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, anticipates needs, and enjoys serving behind the scenes to help others succeed.

Location: Atlanta, GA / Trinity Anglican
Payroll Status: Part-time (20-25 hrs/week), Sunday-Thursday
Timeframe: Mid-August through December 31, 2026

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation & execution of all events, internal and external

  • Collaborate with ministry leaders, communications team, worship team, and facilities team on specific event details (setups, food, linens, supplies, a/v, childcare, etc.)

  • Manage online scheduling software (Planning Center Calendar) and keep events up-to-date, negotiating conflicting spaces

  • Coordinate large and small events with third parties (including diocese events, weddings, and funerals)

  • Respond to external requests for use of building space and resources

  • Serve as logistical point person for Retreats prep, as needed/requested

Desired Skillset & Experience

  • Alignment with Trinity Core Commitments, values, and vision

  • Experience in event coordinating, project management, or a related field is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the Trinity staff and beyond

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable with managing multiple tasks, handling complexity, and navigating sudden changes

  • Ability to work well on a team and independently

  • Ability to anticipate the needs of others coupled with a strong desire to serve

  • Takes initiative on tasks to be completed
