Neighborhood Groups
Info

Neighborhood Groups are weekly, geographically organized gatherings of people who are living as smaller, local expressions of the church, where we cultivate belonging and practice the love of Jesus in community. Groups gather three nights a month to build relationships, encourage, care for, and pray with one another and to discuss practical applications of Sunday’s sermon and text.

Typical Weekly Schedule

7:00 PM: Arrive and hang out

7:20 PM: Gather & begin discussion

ICE BREAKER:

  • A fun way to hear from everyone!

  • One idea is for each person to take one minute to recap their past week for the group.

READ THE TEXT TOGETHER:

  • Read the text slowly through twice, pausing for a minute between and after readings

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to cause a specific word or image to stand out to you.

GROUP DISCUSSION:

  • Week 1 – 2: Group Member Intros

  • Typical Discussion: Discuss what came up for you in reading the text, then use the guiding discussion questions to discuss the Scripture and sermon from the past Sunday.

PRAYER:

  • Consider praying as a big group, breaking into pairs, splitting men and women, etc.

8:20 PM: Wrap up conversation to leave by 8:30!
