Renovation Project
Keep up with the latest on the renovations to our upstairs building!
Work is underway!
This project has been in the works for many years, dating back to before COVID, and we're now to a point, after meeting with our vestry, finance team, staff, architects, and others, where we're ready and excited to move forward.
New Multipurpose Room + New Cafe + Sanctuary Expansion
First, we're converting our upstairs cafe into a new multipurpose room to meet some critical programming needs for adults and youth. Don't worry; you'll still be able to get coffee and bagels upstairs on Sundays! It just might look a little different for a while.
A new cafe will be built in the atrium near the existing one, along with other enhancements to that space to make it more inviting and useful to people during events and as they come and go from our building.
Lastly, we're expanding the size of our Sanctuary. The footprint will take the back wall into the existing Chapel, giving us around 200 more seats. We will also add a new nursing mothers' room and a small prayer room in each corner of the expanded space.
Timeline & Next Steps
While unexpected delays might come up, as they usually do, our intention is to finish the renovations in time to celebrate Christmas together!
We're excited to be taking these steps, and at the same time, we're continuing to plan for the future. Our desire has always been to be good stewards of the resources God has blessed us with — both in terms of physical space and outward influence. To that end, we are looking at both missional opportunities and ways to continue to leverage additional spaces in our buildings for the greatest impact.
