Progress update!
We’re thrilled to share that renovations are moving along with great momentum! Check out the updates and photos below.
Permits: We’ve officially received the 2260 (lower building) permit, and the 2270 (upper building) permit is expected soon. This keeps us moving forward without delays.
Plumbing Update: What first looked like a setback has turned into a relief—our team discovered that the potential sewer issue in the new Kids’ hallway bathrooms was far less complicated than feared. The channels for the plumbing have already been cut, and we’re back on schedule.
Framing Progress: Walls are going up in the old gym! These new walls give us a first glimpse of how some of the new Kids & Youth spaces will look once complete.
Kids & Youth Programming: Interim programming began this past Sunday and went smoothly, thanks to the creativity and hard work of Dave, Katie O, Haley, Hunter, and the entire team. Youth have already made creative use of spaces like the Backyard for Confirmation Class and other gatherings, and we anticipate it will be a helpful backup space in the weeks ahead.
New Chapel: Prep work has begun for the new Chapel to extend into the lower bay. It’s exciting to see this sacred space start to take shape (see photos below).
Atrium & Lower Hallway: A/V upgrades and sound-dampening work are well underway and will be completed in time for Alpha next week—just in time to welcome guests into a refreshed environment.
