A joyful community.

Our Story

Trinity was planted in October 2002 with a simple hope: to be a church that felt like home. Our Lead Pastor, Kris McDaniel, and Worship Pastor, Marty Reardon, along with a small group of young adults from a local Vineyard church, felt a calling to be in the city, as many churches seemed to be moving out.

In our early days, there were few churches in our area intentionally engaging people in the city in the way we sensed God calling us to. Trinity quickly became a place for people who were longing for something rooted, honest, and relational. What began as a small launch team grew faster than we expected—and taught us a lot along the way.

As we grew, we felt a strong call to resist becoming defined by numbers or programs. Instead, we wanted to stay centered on what mattered most to us: shared worship, deep community, and faithful discipleship. That season of discernment led us into Anglicanism—a tradition that rooted us in the long story of the Church, placed us under clear spiritual authority, and gave us practices to sustain us for the long run.

Our story continues to be shaped by God’s grace, and we remain committed to loving this city and responding faithfully to what the Holy Spirit is doing among us.

Three Streams Approach

We take a “three streams” approach to faith and worship—evangelical, charismatic, and liturgical—while maintaining a relaxed and welcoming environment. You’ll find a community that values depth and tradition without formality or pretense. It is our conviction that this approach encourages humility, maturity, and a healthy appreciation for diversity.

Evangelical

When we say that we are “evangelical,” we mean that we take seriously God’s command to speak about and live like Jesus. We preach and teach from the Bible because we believe it is the inspired word of God, and our desire is for all people to enter into a saving relationship with Jesus.

Charismatic

When we say that we are “charismatic,” we mean that we believe God is present and active among his people. We anticipate the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the church for the conviction of sin, the illumination of truth, and the restoration of all things.

Liturgical

When we say that we are “liturgical,” we mean that we value the longevity of historic tradition, the rhythms of the church calendar, the consistency of a lectionary-based teaching plan, and our connection to the global Church.

Beliefs & Affiliation

We are joyfully Anglican. Anglicanism allows us to hold together Scripture, tradition, and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. It grounds our faith in ancient practices while inviting us to live them out faithfully in our present context.

Our beliefs are best expressed through the historic creeds of the Church—the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. By affirming these creeds, we join Christians across cultures and centuries in confessing our faith in the one God who creates, redeems, and restores all things.

Trinity is a part of Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO), a diocese in the Anglican Church of North America.

Five Core Commitments

We exist to be a joyful community of disciples who together:

Embody practices and postures that lead to the restoration of our whole person

Make space for meaningful and reconciled relationships

Participate in God’s kingdom work by using our gifts locally and throughout the world

Experience the love of God and life in the Holy Spirit

Invite people into friendship with Jesus

These commitments shape everything we do—from worship to community life to mission.

Leadership

Under the care of our bishops, Trinity is a pastor-led, staff-implemented, vestry-supported church. Get to know the people who help lead and shepherd our community.

  • An Anglican bishop is a member of the clergy who has been commissioned to oversee the work of a group of churches and the pastors (priests and deacons) who serve them. That group of churches is called a “diocese.” In a certain sense, a bishop is a pastor to pastors. Bishops share a special responsibility to maintain and further the unity of the Church, to uphold its discipline, and to guard its faith.

Jeff Bailey and Brian Wallace are our bishops. Todd Hunter is the founder of our diocese, Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO).

  • Trinity's staff is made up of people who are committed to the pastoral, operational, and overall care of our church.

Our staff has two key decision-making groups; the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Ministry Leadership Team (MLT). The SLT includes the Lead Pastor and direct reports. The SLT is responsible for the overall vision and values of Trinity. The MLT comprises the SLT members and the leaders overseeing each of Trinity's ministry areas. The MLT is responsible for strategy and operations.

  • The purpose of the vestry is to support the church's mission and culture, support the senior pastor, model sacrificial leadership, and uphold the church's financial integrity.

Vestry members serve staggered three-year terms. The Senior Warden is an officer of the vestry who helps lead the vestry together with the Lead Pastor. The Junior Warden is an officer who assists the Senior Warden and Lead Pastor and is designated to serve as the next Senior Warden. The Chancellor is an officer of the vestry whose role is to provide general legal counsel to the vestry as these issues come up in the life of the church.
