Renovations begin soon!
Thanks to the generosity of this community and the success of our recent Capital Campaign, we’ve reached an exciting milestone: we have officially hired a General Contractor, and preparations for the next phase of renovations are underway! If all goes as planned, demolition work will begin Monday, August 25.
As we step into this phase, a few important details—permits, the full construction timeline, and logistical plans—are still being finalized. Our team is working closely with our contractor to minimize disruptions, but we do anticipate a few challenges along the way as we navigate staging, subcontractor schedules, and the natural surprises that come with construction. We’ll keep you updated and share specifics as soon as we have them.
Impact on Our Spaces & Programs
Kids & Youth: During construction, the Youth Room, several Kids classrooms, and the gym will be offline for much of the process. Temporary programming adjustments will be necessary, and we’ll communicate those plans as soon as they’re finalized. Your patience and flexibility will be a gift during this season.
Chapel (Upper Bay): Work will also begin upstairs to create our new Chapel. Aside from a temporary wall at the top of the main staircase, this phase should not significantly affect programming or building use.
Baptismal Storage: We are also adding a new storage space for our baptismal behind the stage. Until that area is completed, you may notice the baptismal “residing” in the atrium—a temporary home until its permanent one is ready.
Good Things Are Coming
This renovation is more than a building project—it’s a tangible expression of the mission and ministry God has called us to. Together, we’re creating spaces where people of all ages can encounter Jesus in worship, learning, and fellowship.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your steadfast support. Because of you, good things are coming!
